Firewall Issues
How do I access GoTrek through
a firewall?
If you are having problems accessing GoTrek through a firewall
you may need to make your administrator aware of the GoTrek
port settings used to transfer data. You or your administrator
will need to open up the following ports in order to allow
the appropriate GoTrek software to work:
- port 443, for GoTrek EV media content
- port 4569, for GoTrek VoIP internet phone

What if I have a transparent
proxy server?
At the moment GoTrek does not support the use of transparent
HTTP proxy servers. Please contact your ISP or administrator
to seek an alternative connection.
How secure is GoTrek?
GoTrek goes to great lengths to ensure that all it's content
is secure and protected from viruses. All GoTrek data is virus
checked and it is not possible for other computers to transfer
viruses through the GoTrek application. Virus protection is
a very high priority for GoTrek and we recommend that all
computers run virus protection software.
